1.'Let us C' by Yeshwant kanitkar! this is a nice reader friendly book for beginners!! Author discussed basic topics very clearly. But Data structers is not discussed here!!

2.'C and data structers' by Balaguruswamy. Here you can find no of examples for practice!

3.Still if you want to go through the subject further..better you go for 'C-the complete reference'..by Schildt. This is a standard book which you can preserve in your book library!!

there is nothing like best book.

Learn and practice .. in case you have any specific problems then search for possible solution, only after you have exhausted other routes.

Check URLs mentioned below.

Reply:Since you're from india, i'll suggest an AWESOME book by a local author.

It's called "Let's C" by yeshwant kanitkar. It's very reader friendly, and he goes deep too.

If you want a foreign author i'd suggest going for Herbert Schildt's C reference.
