How do I learn c/c++ or other computer laguages? Any good books or websites I can learn from?
When I was your age, the "... for Dummies" books were pretty new, and they did me lots of good.

They probably have Java for Dummies, C++ for Dummies, Visual Basic for Dummies, etc... probably a good way to learn the basics.

Then you can move on to more advanced books, reference books and textbooks work very well.

Or you can just do a search for some online tutorials.
Reply:For beginner, I suggest C++ Primer.

If you want to know more about C++ you can read Thinking in C++
Reply:I would go on Ebay and find a cheap book or something, or Google to find some things to help you. If you wanting to make games then go with C/C++, Visual Basics is more for programs to help accomplish stuff, although it is not limited to making games. I'm in high school and I'm learning VB.NET, I just placed in the top 10 in the BPA city competition and I get to go to the state level to compete. Should be fun.
Reply:Microsoft offers Visual Basic and Visual C++ express editions which have some documentation on how to program. You can go to Microsoft's website and search for Visual Basic Express Edition which will take you to the download page. Choose to install all the extras.
